With the team of seasoned professionals, enriching work culture and technically and managerially diversified employees, and partner communities, ITSourceTEK delivers world-class results in the information security as well as GRC landscape.
Under the guidance of Nina Do their COO and support from her executive team Brian Arellanes (CEO), Matt Whitmarsh (EVP), Walter Jones (CIO), and Jean Dubois (VP of Ops), the company ensures that its clients and their customers can benefit wholly from a cloud first strategy while helping them eliminate the compliance risks and providing both governance and regulatory controls. In an interview with CIOApplicaions, Nina Do provides more profound insights into the company and the solutions that they offer.
Can you give us an overview of ITSourceTEK?
ITSourceTEK is a long-standing leader in providing GRC, cybersecurity, and automation of IT functions. We provide assessments, requirements, and gap analysis for security standards (such as HIPAA, SOX, PCI-DSS, and GDPR) amongst other regulatory requirements for clients ranging from Fortune 50 global leaders to clients with significant assets that need to be protected and/or meet regulatory standards. By creating policies and solutions to fill any compliance gaps, we ensure that our clients meet stringent security standards in terms of how their data is used, managed and stored.
How do you customize your solution according to the varied needs of your clients?
Most CIO’s are aggressively pushing to move their workloads to the cloud, but face many security and GRC related challenges.
Being an expert in the field means we listen to our clients needs versus pushing a solution on them
We personalize solutions according to the needs of each of our clients. There is not one solution that solves all the requirements for every environment, which is why we have a wide range of solutions available to our clients. We can guide them based on their unique necessities and help them cut through the noise space of products and solutions marketplace based on our real-world experience with their peers or companies that may have similar problem statements.
Could you please cite a case study on how you have enabled clients to overcome hurdles and attain desired outcomes?
One of our global clients needed to find a way to migrate off of well-known large scale GRC platform. They were spending millions per year just on maintenance, and any customization also led to seven-figure professional services engagements. So, we came in and assessed their current state and future state requirements. Based on that we implemented a solution and migrated them off the old system bringing an immediate ROI, with drastically lesser headcount required to maintain the tool so the others on the team could focus on higher level functions. This also made their ability to report out to their clients on compliance; an easy task that could be completed in hours as opposed to weeks or months.
What are the factors that separate ITSourceTEK in the market place?
Given the complexities around GRC and the impact it can have on all facets of a business, our competitive advantage is we know how to simplify processes and automate functions. This allows our clients to involve lesser business units while keeping all the stakeholders happy that their needs are being met. Being an expert in the field means we listen to our clients' needs versus pushing a solution on them.
What does the future have in store for ITSourceTEK?
“Our future consists of continuing to break down barriers”, says Nina Do. An example she points to is to make doing business with us easier by being able to sell through common cloud marketplaces, so procurement is simplified. Being a company that was an early adopter of cloud-based automation back in the mid-2000s gives ITSourceTEK a unique perspective on how to help its clients leap forward wisely and securely.
We have won many accolades both in the GRC and Security industries as well as for being a leader in diversity as a woman and minority-owned business. These designations also allow companies to diversify their spending with a woman and minority owned business that is also a leader in their respective industry, creating a win-win.
